Erik brings over twenty years of investment and corporate finance and accounting experience to AWS, having served in executive finance and accounting leadership roles at Citigroup and Deloitte in New York City, a Dallas Fintech (Financial Technology) company, and Tech, Media and Telecom firms in Denver, Los Angeles, and Tampa. In addition to several Fortune 500 firms, Erik has worked at or consulted for a variety of small and midsize companies spanning diverse industries, from Oil & Gas to Healthcare.
After heading the financial team at Citigroup’s Alternative Asset practice, he co-founded Green Valor Capital, a private equity firm focused on providing capital and consulting to help grow small and midsize American firms outside of traditional capital cities, like New York and San Francisco.
Erik’s experience structuring domestic and global entities to provide optimized operational and tax outcomes, whether raising capital for investment funds and investors, helping companies expand geographically, or allowing business owners to optimize tax and legacy planning options, is a key area of focus at AWS.
Childless and unmarried, Erik has found himself unwittingly gravitating towards Jack Nicholson’s character in “As Good As It Gets,” as he has entered his 40s. An avid outdoorsman and art & film lover, his repaid student loan balance indicates he also loves education, having attended Georgetown for Biophysics, USC for graduate film studies, and is an alumnus of the Universities of Colorado and Denver, where he holds two Bachelor’s degrees (Physics & Mathematics) and two Master’s Degrees (MBA Finance & Masters of Accountancy).
